Celebration - called LIFE

This blog celebrates the different shades of life. People come together to enjoy life and life is nothing without your group your companions. Life does become colourless. This post bring's these things closer and makes you look beyond just the obvious.

Makar Sankranti - The celebration of new harvest, thanking mother earth for the great harvest we get, the mother taking care of her children. Continuing the tradition of celebrating many festivals in IBS Hyderabad, this photograph of January 2010, also showcases that wherever we Indians go or achieve we shall always be with our roots. Our roots define us.

Celebrating Ganeshutsav was the most fulfilling experience yet in the  MBA life here. Though lots of philosophical knowledge is a part of this festival, but many people have confessed the material benefits too ;) The festival brings in celebration of Creation & Initiation, Continuance and finally The End. The 10 days of this festival tells us to continue our life's journey with all the fervour and never let our spirits die down. Even though good things are to end, the goodbye should be a celebration in itself.

In the end would like to reiterate, there is no means to satisfy self than to be able to have a square meals earned by own's hard work creating true value to the self, society and nation. It doesn't matter how small your contribution, drops fill the bucket, so keep trying keep doing.

Sunset at college

I have inadvertently formed a gang of friends in college who are very interested in and love the sunset. Many a times the sunset friends,  Sahil, Siddharth & Kamini call me to check out the 15 minutes of enchanting beauty. Its a very pleasant feeling, calming the nerves. The sunset photography :)

A Philosophical side would suggest that everything that starts has an end, the end will always be glorious. Make yourself so big and huge and followed that people should say, "Hey, there goes the best person I have ever known"

How can I ever thank my friends completely for being with me and showing me the wonders the nature has for us.

The Lamp Posts

The photographs below are on the way towards the college building. Had to wait for the perfect time for capturing the image.

I being a proponent of pure photographs, I refrain from editing the photographs to bring in colours or touch them up to enhance the photo quality. I use only the pics from the

Experimenting Slow Shutter Speed

The night yesterday gave an opportunity to experiment with low light, long exposure photographs. The images below have been captured by Canon SX130IS. Although capturing better images will require a higher end camera, I am highly satisfied with the results. I believe there is lot to learn for me in the field of photography. The learning path for this has been decided and the progress on the same has started, details later ;) Right now enjoy the experiments for the visual treat of shutter speed photography.

Though many a times the photographs being showcased tend to be from within the campus, attempts are being made to showcase different view points for the same objects. Yesterday we experienced a total blackout for few minutes. And here are the benefits of the blackout.

Outdoor Experiments

Lightning Captured

Although the intention was to capture the lonely head light of the vehicle which had come to the hostel, lightning was an added surprise for the click. Exposure 15 seconds, ISO 1600, 2816x2112.

The Vehicle Captured

And finally was able to capture the vehicle lights. This time I only reduced the exposure time to 4 seconds. This was essential to improve the image stability, get a more clearer picture.

Indoor Experiments

This time even reduced the ISO for absorbing less light. All the pics below are with ISO 400. This was essential as compared to the outdoor settings as a distant light outdoors is more difficult to capture than a nearer light indoors

PS: I just hoped i had a tripod i could have stabilised my camera a bit more to get better picture quality, lower shake.
PS: Higher end cameras' provide better image stability but the cost-benefit analysis of camera at present lowers the utility factor of going high end :)

Objects

On the way towards Parliament of India from India Gate

It was a winter of 2010 with lots of haze around and the balloons bringing in the splash of bright colours to the scene. Me & my friend had visited New Delhi for wedding of our dearest friend. It was some experience not to be missed while being in Delhi and having your DSLR camera with you. Roaming on the streets of new delhi, old delhi, jumping into delhi metro, clicking pictures of India Gate was the greatest feeling. The trip made me fall in love with Delhi - The capital of India

Corridor of IBS, Hyderabad hostel

At 3 am in night, woke up to find total solitude and bliss, with absolutely no distractions from any student in hostel, went around clicking some pics.

Whats the target

The IBS Hyderabad campus provides ample opportunities for great clicking experience. This was one of construction sites on the 100 acre campus

Careful Warmth

I finish this blog piece with the care & warmth captured in the pic above on a dinner table.
